Tom Rhys Harries lands lead Role ‘CLayface’ in JAmes Watkins new dc studios film
Deadline has reported that Welsh Actor Tom Rhys Harries has officially landed the role as Clayface in this upcoming ‘Clayface’ movie, being released by DC Studios and directed by James Watkins who also previously directed ‘Speak No Evil’.
Tom Rhys Harries who stars in Apple TV series ‘Suspicion’ and movies such as ‘The Gentleman’ and ‘Kandahar’ beat many up and coming actors which was very tough competition. The other Actors in the running for the lead role were Jack O’Connell who had a stellar performance in Sinners and is in the upcoming 28 Years Later, Tom Blyth who was the lead role in ‘Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’, Leo Woodall who starred in ‘The White Lotus’, ‘Bridget Jones: Mad about a Boy’ and Netflix’s ‘One Day’ and finally ‘1917’s’ George Mackay.
‘Clayface’ will release In Theatres September 11th 2026 and will be the third release in James Gunn’s new DC Universe, after 2025’s most anticipated film of the year ‘ Superman’ and next year’s ‘Supergirl’ which has officially been renamed and dropped ‘Woman of Tomorrow’ from the title.
