A new wonder woman is officially in the works at dc studios
James Gunn recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly to speak about his upcoming Superman movie which releases in just under a month which is the first film that is in the new DC Universe with James Gunn is the leading voice and guiding and shaping the new DC films. In the Interview with EW he mentions about the upcoming ‘Paradise Lost’ series that is also being created based on the Amazonians in Themyscira which will be a prequel series based on Wonder Woman's home nation, but after mentioning the series he mentions in a teasing fashion “We're working on Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman's being written right now.” but also adds that in a very on the nose and funny response “How much of it has been written, there's no saying. Who it's being written by is also unknown. And as for what it will entail... well, that's a mystery not even the Lasso of Truth could extract right now.”
The only piece of information we have based upon the new Wonder Woman movie comes from ‘Variety’ where they reported that Gal Gadot will not be reprising her role as Diana with her last appearance as Wonder Woman being in 2020’s ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ which wasn’t massive success and wasn’t seen very well by the critics. Not only does this make sense due to the new slate of DC films being set in a different universe, but Gal Gadot has also recently come under fire for her acting skills with people calling for a casting change online.
