Peter Sohn is set to direct ‘Incredibles 3’ at pixar

Reported by ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ first reported the Peter Sohn will be the Director of the third entry into the beloved superhero family in ‘Incredible 3’. Peter Sohn previously directed Pixar films ‘Elemental’ and ‘The Good Dinosaur’ and is now set to take over legendary Brad Birds role as the director of Pixar’s iconic film. Brad Bird is set to step down as the director after directing 2004’s ‘The Incredibles’ and 2018’s ‘incredibles 2’ but he will still be working on the film as a screenwriter and a producer.

It was unsure as to why Brad Bird wasn’t going to return as the director for this film, however it seems to be because of scheduling conflicts, as Brad Bird is now In Pre-Production for a film that he has been working on for a long time, which is ‘1906’ and has been in production and out of production for nearly two decades, but finally is being focused on and had Birds full efforts.

There has been now extra reports for a release date, casting announcements or a storyline for this film as it is extremely early into development as this is being written. What we should be excited for in ‘Incredibles 3’ is expansive world building and emotional story beats as ‘The Good Dinosaur’ and ‘Elemental’ features a great deal of these elements.

“Incredibles 3’ will be looking to be a success for Pixar after the first and second film were extremely successful in the box office with ‘The Incredibles’ earning $630 million and ‘Incredibles 2’ earning $1.24 billion and becoming the second most successful Pixar film just behind the iconic ‘Inside Out’.
