Patrick Schwarzenegger being eyed for ‘American psycho’ remake
According to ‘The Hollywood Reporter’ sources have informed them that Patrick Schwarzenegger is definitely on the radar to star as ‘Patrick Batemen’ in the new ‘American Psycho’ remake which is being directed by beloved Luca Guadanino who has also directed ‘Call you by your name’, ‘Challengers’ and ‘Queer’. There have been no serious talks with any actor so far as actors like Austin Butler were also rumoured for the role, but those rumours died down very quickly.
Executives at Warner Brothers Studios worry about casting Patrick Schwarzenegger as the lead role in ‘American Psycho’ as he hasn’t stared in a major feature before, but the worries aren’t major as Schwarzenegger is slowly increasing his portfolio as he recently stared in fan favourite ‘White Lotus’, he is joining Margaret Qualley in Romantic Drama ‘Love of Your life’ at MGM Studios and rumours and set leaks indicate that he may appear and become the new interpretation of beloved Marvel Superhero and X Men Lead ‘Cyclops’ with his first appearance potentially being in ‘Avengers Doomsday’ which will likely be the biggest film of 2026. Luckily Luca Guadinino also is focusing on a film called ‘Artifical’ which is a Sci-Fi film being developed at Amazon before he takes on the new ‘American Psycho’ adaptation which gives Schwarzenegger more time to give Luca a reason as to why he is the man for the Job.
