Oscar Nominee Glenn Close and Tony Award winner Billy Porter join ‘The Hunger Games: sunrise on the reaping cast

Reported by deadline, Glenn Close and Billy Porter have both joined the cast of the newest entry into the Hunger Games Franchise, ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the reaping’, adding to the already large and popular cast. The characters that both of these actors will be playing have been revealed too, with Glenn Close playing District Twelves mean escort, ‘Drusilla Sickle’. Billy Porter will be playing the distant Husband ‘Mango Stift’ who is an uninspired costume designer for the tributes also.

This new broke as Lionsgate have held a presentation at CineEurope. ‘Sunrise on the Reaping’ will release November 20th, 2026 and the plot is said to be based on the successful book and revisits the world of ‘Panam’ at the morning of the beginning of the Second Quarter Quell, the Fiftieth Hunger Games. Glenn Close and Billy Porter join an already ridiculously large and talented cast with names as followed, Elle Fanning, Ralph Fiennes, Maya Hawke, Ben Yang, Jesse Plemons, Joseph Zada, Lili Taylor, Kieran Culkin, Whitney Peak and Kelvin Harrison Jr.
