Latest Box Office Earnings for recent films

There have been plenty of movies that have been released in the cinemas over the last few weeks and months, here are the current earnings for the recent blockbusters.

F1 The Movie released on June 27th and drove into the cinema world, giving us an epic racing phenomenon that kept us on the edge of our drivers seats. The film created by Jospeh Kosinski and developed by Apple had a $200 Million budget and has crossed over $144 Million as of this articles release. The F1 movie earned $10 Million from previews alone which was classed as ‘Over-performing’ in the Box Office. You can still watch F1 the movie in Theatres now.

28 Years Later released on 20th June and really lived up to the hype of the trailer that won Trailer of the year. 28 Years Later has been a critical success, while also having some negative opinions, the box offices tells us exactly what people thought about it. The Danny Boyle creation had a budget of $75 Million and has already earned over the amount spent as its crossed over $100 Million Globally already. How to Train your dragon soared into our hearts with the remake of the original animation, coming to life in a life action adaptation. The majority of fans found this to be a worth recreation and connected again with the characters we already loved. The film between man and dragons had a $150 Million Budget with Dreamworks going all out to make a worth creation, and the fans pulled through as the Isle of Berk has earned $450 Million Globally, breaking the box office by a landslide.

Lilo and Stitch has been one of Disney’s most successful live action adaptations to date, not only critically but also financially. The general public have deemed Lilo and Stitch to be a decent remake of the heartwarming original, but not only that. The Budget for the summertime flick was $100 Million, and has earned just under $1 Billion earning a huge $940 Million Globally, going way above the budget. Its safe to say that we will be defiantly seeing more live action adaptations of Disney films with this success, and not only from different franchises, but from Lilo and Stitch itself, as Disney have already announced ‘Lilo and Stitch 2’

Elio has been an unexpected Pixar film that has been deemed an underrated picture by the animation team. Despite the good to great reviews, sadly Elio hasn’t been doing to amazingly at the box offices. The budget for the lovely animated film was $150 Million, and so far its earned $70 Million. This Pixar film is a must watch and people should go and give it the love it deserves, you can still catch Elio in Theatres now.

M3GAN 2.0 has just released in theatres and has already earned close to the budget in the Global opening weekend. The Budget for the film was only $25 Million and on its first weekend the Sassy Robot has earned $17.2 Million, already getting close to the amount spent, again this will surely not be the last time we see the badass animatronic on the big screen.
